The Adventure Pals

The Adventure Pals is an epic adventure platformer fuelled by imagination. Take on the role of a young adventurer as you travel the land and battle monsters-a-plenty in an epic quest to stop the evil Mr B who has kidnapped your Papa and is hell-bent on turning him into a delicious hot dog.

The game will be available for PC, Mac, Xbox in mid-2017.

Alien :: Qualifier

31st May - 3rd June

Alien::Qualifier is a 2 player fighting game for PC where you play as mysterious creatures battling it out in various alien habitats. Jump, hover, shoot, reflect, and outmaneuver your opponent to become the victor in this hectic arena. Developed by NUA student, Louis Protano.

Armoured Engines

2nd - 3rd June

Armoured Engines is a steam punk western epic following the journey of train conductor Dusty Beats and her partner in crime, the ancient living engine Billy Wylam, as they search for El Dorado. Interact with the train using your hands to swipe, slide, fling, poke, and otherwise bother a horde of vibrant enemies, utilising a fully customisable arsenal of weaponry and armed passengers.

Arenas of Magic

Fetch your staffs and spell books, for there is wizardry to be done… Fight with and against other players in a battle of wits and wands in this top-down 2D, real-time, team based MOBA of sorts. Spells from seven distinct elements, each with their own unique play style and counter-elements to learn and master are at your disposal for defeating foes and aiding allies across charming pixel art environments.

Inspired by classic platform games such as Crash Bandicoot, Rayman, Croc and Spyro, Ascent is an open world co-op platform game, in which, Bluu and Blip, must ascend a gigantic tree to escape an alien world.

As a greatly revamped successor to Stock Car Extreme. AUTOMOBILISTA continues to simulate elite Brazilian auto-racing series such as Stock Car V8, Copa Petrobras de Marcas, Formula 3 Brasil and Mitsubishi Lancer Cup, now packing every car and every track from their respective 2015 championships.

You play as a bartender at a run down bar. You have to learn, make, and serve drinks to customers. Depending on how accurate you make the drinks will determine the amount of tips you get from customers, which you collect to upgrade and customise your bar.

Beyond the void

Beyond the Void is a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) with RTS (real time strategic game) elements. In a one-versus-one battle against another player, your are in control of one Mothership, among the most powerful warships in the universe. You can customize your Mothership with Skills, and can shape the map with Event cards.

Caelum: Into the Sky

Adventure exploration above the clouds in VR. The mysteries around alchemy unfold as the player explores the shattered world of Caelum, solving puzzles and riddles on the way. Cheerful stylised visuals hold a facade before the dark history, which is based on real alchemists and the pursuit of eternal life. Developed by NUA Student Adam Király.

Chicken Jump is an arcade game about the famous vehicle-jumping festival where cars, trains and trucks barrel at you at insane velocities! Up to 8 players can battle or co-operate with awesome DIY jump pads!

Colour Chess + Lure

Crafted in Norwich, Colour Chess + Lure is a new take on Chess with a coloured board which adds a new layer of strategy. Lure is a 2nd game that plays on the same board, with different pieces and goals. You can also combine the two games.

The spaceship building game. Craft your very own spaceship from an array of connectable parts. Create any design from your imagination and then fly your ship through space and explore various planets. Pilot your ship with acrobatic manoeuvres and shoot down the opposition with a variety of weaponry.

Crumple Zone

29th May - 30th May, 2nd June - 3rd June

In Crumple Zone you have to build vehicles to allow Number Two to complete objectives, be it cross the finish line or knock something down. Creativity is the key to creating successful vehicles for each level.

Dead End Job

2nd - 3rd June

Dead End Job merges the frantic, addictive, highly replayable gameplay of a procedurally generated twin-stick shooter with the iconic look of a 90s cartoon. You take on the role of a worker at Ghoul-B-Gone – the #1 experts in paranormal pest control.

Every week in-game you’re competing against the company golden boy to be named “Employee of the Week" based on the amount of money you earned the company. Have you got what it takes to be the best at putting pests to rest?

Four Last Things is a point-and-click adventure game made from Renaissance-era paintings and public domain recordings of classical music. It is about sin, and the Four Last Things – Death, Judgement, Heaven and Hell – and strives to be intelligent and ridiculous in equal measures.

It's kind of like if Monkey Island had been made in 16th century Flanders, by a time-travelling Monty Python fanboy...

FAST FOOD: Pan Fried Overdrive

FAST FOOD: Pan Fried Overdrive is an action packed, retro, veggie inspired police getaway game. Your goal is to escape the city by chaotically speeding down the luscious roads of 80’s Cauliwood. Drive fast whilst avoiding (or crashing through) anything that gets in your way. The further you get, the more points you’ll earn.

Guard Duty

2nd - 3rd June

Guard Duty is a point and click adventure game taking place across a rich and diverse fantasy setting. Take control of two protagonists living thousands of years apart, with locations ranging from enchanted forests to dystopian cities of the future. Guard Duty is a game rooted in a Medieval setting, but featuring a unique story where past events drastically influence those of the distant future. The game will be released as a stand-alone title with hundreds of animations, full motion cutscenes and a charming variety of British voice actors.

Hurry Hurry Heal Me

29th May

Hurry Hurry Heal Me is a 4-player, local cooperative game with the aim of publishing for the Nintendo Switch. Hurry Hurry Heal Me flips the traditional shoot ‘em up on its head by using healing as it’s main mechanic. This “Heal ‘em up” encourages players to use teamwork and communication, as they have to coordinate their positions, timings and tasks as a team in order to succeed. The game aims to induce stress through the concept of no control, with players relying on their team mates to survive.

The aim of the game is to stay alive and guide all the Inops through each level. There are lots of traps/ways to die, puzzles, and even other Inops waiting to be awoken within each level to add to your numbers! Inops are also able to join, and become one big Inop, which helps complete levels by merging them together or splitting them up to fit into smaller spaces.

Kiwi's Quest

3rd June

Kiwi's Quest is a single player game with a mix of action/adventure and puzzle elements. There are often a variety of ways to complete a level depending upon how clever, or brave, you are! The main character, Kiwi, is a baby girl on a quest through forty levels across four diverse environments to save her brother, Wilbur, who has been captured. Kiwi's Quest includes a fully-featured level editor to allow players to create their own challenging levels to share with others.

Lazarus is a top-down action-oriented sci fi twist on Groundhog Day where thousands of players survive together in a huge persistent real time world, where dogfights, foraging for resources, and exploring exciting new tech combine into a tumultuous 'MMO Roguelike' that turns back in on itself every week like some kind of ultra-futuristic Ouroboros.

Leilani's Island

2nd - 3rd June

Leilani has got to roll, jump, and smash into things to take back her island from mechanical invasion! A tropical 2D platformer in the making for PC.

Loco Motion

1st - 3rd June

Loco Motion is a puzzle game for all ages: help our happy train flip switches, ride elevators, blow up obstacles and much more in a variety of brain-teasing levels across multiple worlds.

Lost Words

2nd - 3rd June

Lost Words is a narrative adventure set between the pages of a diary and a fantasy land. The game features a story written by Rhianna Pratchett and ties the narrative into the gameplay in an unusual way, by having the player running on and interacting with the words themselves to solve puzzles.

Welcome to the biggest intergalactic reality TV show of all time – The Obliteration Game. Defeat the Doctor’s dastardly challenges to win amazing prizes and save your world from certain doom.

Out of Office

All work, no escape. Out of Office sees you take on the role of a spy going undercover at a confusing corporation riddled with strange futuristic technology. Explore each room and solve puzzles to locate blueprints and figure out what Deep Vertical Industries are up to (it can't *all* be "synergy" and "blue-sky thinking").

Primal Reign

It’s World War Two, and you’re in Egypt taking back lands claimed by the Germans. You’re exploring an ancient Egyptian Chamber when you stumble upon a experiment in time travel gone wrong. The time gate has gone into reverse, pulling primal beasts from the past into the present. And your pal Tommy has been dragged through the portal. Play in VR and take on the role of Archie – one of the soldiers fighting for his life from the waves of marauding beasts, and struggling to save his friend.

MaoMao Castle

Help MaoMao the Cat-Dragon make it back to his castle, avoiding obstacles and collect rainbows. Use the speed dash to crash through trees, pillars and Moai heads, as you fly around trying not to lose one of your 9 lives. Perform deft manoeuvres simply by moving your hand over the LEAP Motion Controller, or gliding your finger across the glass of your mobile device.

Nature's Zombie Apocalypse is a chaotic multiplayer game where you are the animals fighting to save the world from the zombie human race. Be a bear with a flame thrower, elephant with a mini gun or a sloth with a baseball bat as you fight zombie dinner ladies and other insane zombies.

The Nothing

The Nothing is a room-based side-scroller, without the side scrolling. Lost in a non-Euclidean purgatory, face unspeakable horrors and seek a way to break the cycle.

Pendulum - Swing Time Away. Lose yourself in a minimal and mindful puzzler where change is the only constant. Swing across the screen hitting targets, avoiding gravity sucking obstacles and switching between colours to reveal hidden paths.

Pish Posh Push

Norwich based Exobyte's next game is an amusement arcade penny pusher for mobile phones. This follows a theme that has been very popular in Exobyte's previous games; Slots games Cherry Chaser, Super Snake, Mega Mixer and air hockey game Plasma Duel.

VR Karts

The checkered flag is about to drop on a new Virtual Reality racing experience! Get in the drivers’ seat of your own customised kart and race against other players from around the world. Race through stunning environments, collect power-ups and use weapons to gain the upper hand over other racers. VR Karts is a fun and family-friendly Virtual Reality racing game, Published by Perp Games and set to be released late spring 2017 on PlayStation VR.

Radial G

2nd - 3rd June

Radial-G: Racing Revolved is a fast and intense multi-player racing game specifically designed and built for VR. Prepare to race on a track like no other. In Radial-G the courses are built using a unique tubular design, allowing full rotation, so you can spin and swoop around 360-degrees to find the ultimate racing line. Radial G is Published by Perp Games and is currently available on Oculus and VIVE, with a PlayStation VR version due early Summer.
